Hydroelectric Power

Hydroelectric power is a renewable source of energy that has been used and continuously refined for many centuries. We are specialists in the installation of turbines and other hydroelectric plant components, and always use state-of-the-art technology.

Hydroelectric plants are adjustable and can therefore be easily adapted to meet pertinent energy demands. As a result, they are an important addition to other base load-unsuitable, renewable energy sources, such as wind farms and photovoltaic systems, during the period of energy transition. Hydroelectric energy makes up the highest proportion of power generated from renewable sources worldwide. Countries with the topography beneficial for the generation of hydroelectric power, such as Austria and Switzerland, utilise it for more than half of their overall power supply. And Norway does not only power itself fully with hydroelectric energy, but also exports its surplus power.

Our branch in Austria has its own team with experienced specialists who carry out the installation of turbines and power plant components in hydroelectric power plants. We also take care of many other aspects of hydroelectric power plant construction – from the engineering, prefabrication, procurement and construction of the piping for all systems (hydraulic, cooling water, compressed air…) to quality assurance, corrosion protection, commissioning, trial operation and the quality documentation for the plants we install.
