We perform maintenance and inspection work and implement retrofitting measures.
We cover the full value chain (from project management to EPC projects by building on our long presence in Germany’s nuclear industry, which started with the construction of the first NPPs and our deep knowledge of clients and site specifics through our on-site presence.
Our core expertise in nowadays mainly includes the post-operational phase, dismantling of nuclear facilities, and the design and supply of facilities for the treatment, conditioning and disposal of radioactive waste.
In major European projects like in CERN and ITER, the design work of our engineers helps to translate top research ideas into industrial scale solutions.

We engineer, procure and install process engineering and mechanical technology systems in nuclear power plants in Germany and abroad. We are performing maintenance work as well as retrofitting measures.
VitrifiCation
In 2021, Kraftanlagen Heidelberg can look back on 40 years of experience in the planning, construction and commissioning of vitrification plants for high level radioactive liquid waste (HLLW) from the reprocessing of fuel assemblies.

Radiation protection
The operators of nuclear facilities are relying on the expertise of our radiation protection specialists.We have had §15 approval of the Radiation Protection Ordinance for decades and specialise in qualified radiation protection personnel.
WELDING TRAINING
We achieve the highest welding quality through well-founded welder training and a great deal of experience. Expert instructors provide our training participants with all the necessary knowledge of the current welding processes.
